Masked men in video shop raid

THREE masked men burst into a video store and locked female staff in a toilet.

The robbers, all wearing balaclavas, threatened the assistants with hammers at the Blockbuster video shop in Wargrave Road, Newton, last Sunday, December 1, at 9.30pm.

The staff were manhandled into a toilet and locked in while the raiders stole money from the till.

One of the men is described as around 5ft 4in tall, slimly built and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing dark trousers and a sweat shirt.

A second man is described as being 5ft 10in, well built with a Liverpool accent.
