Strip show

From the Guardian Series, first published Thursday 19th Sep 1996.

ALL is revealed in Chester Gateway's latest play Girl's Night Out.

Loud, raucous and a little bit rude, the production is all about what happens when a gang of girls go to see a male strip show.

And the ladies discover the men strutting their stuff on stage are their husbands, sons, brothers and a fiance.

For adults only and featuring some strong language, Girls' Night Out is a world premiere and goes on to tour across the country after playing Chester.

Written by Dave Simpson - who also achieved success with Raving Beauties, currently being made into a film - it should also be enjoyed by anyone who liked Bouncers.

Theatre staff say it is hilarious and guaranteed to set the pulse racing - and the cast even includes someone who was a male stripper in real life.

GIRLS Night Out is at Chester Gateway until September 21. For details, please ring 01244 340277.

DAMIEN Childs, Hywel Morgan, Michael Magnet, and Mark Prentice get ready for the night out.
