PUPILS IN S CLUB SEVENTH HEAVEN

From the Guardian Series, first published Thursday 4th Oct 2001.

PRIMARY school pupils are eagerly awaiting the release of a charity single by S Club 7.

Have You Ever is being recorded by the pop band to raise money for Children in Need, and is due out on November 19.

Primary school children from across the UK were invited to take part in the charity single by recording the song's chorus.

The individual recordings will then be mixed onto the single.

Members of the 30-strong choir at Marlfields Primary in Congleton will be among the schools to feature on Have You Ever.

The choir recorded the six-line chorus onto a CD on Thursday, under the guidance of Pat Thomason, the school's music co-ordinator, and choir leader Pat Collins.

"The children in the choir are aged between seven and 11, and are really excited about featuring on a single with S Club 7," said Mrs Thomason.
