COULD you be Warrington's hottest business property? Young people across Cheshire have the opportunity to win huge cash prizes in the Shell LiveWIRE 2003 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Business Start-Up competition.
Young industrialists will be asked to take part in an interview, produce a business plan and offer a display of products in this year's competition.
Various winners will be selected to then compete in a regional and potentially a national final. There are £8,000 worth of prizes in the Cheshire and Wirral areas, with £200,000 worth of prizes nationally.
Research shows that one in three young people would like to start their own businesses and Shell LiveWIRE co-ordinator Phil Greenwood believes these awards can vastly increase survival rates of new companies.
"As a local enterprise agency we are dedicated to encouraging enthusiasm, developing ideas and helping them to succeed in business," he said.
The competition is for businesses that have been trading for between three and 18 months and entrants must be under the age of 31 at the competition closing date of January 31. For more details call Phil Greenwood on 01244 311474.
