Biffa branches out of landfill

WOODLAND the size of 300 football pitches in The Mersey Forest has been transformed thanks to a grant of £350,000.

Biffa Waste donated the money through the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme and it has been distributed between projects in North Cheshire.

Improvement works on access routes and the creation of a new wildflower meadow at Radley Common in Orford received £7,150, and £8,000 was presented to Trees of Time and Place in Warrington, which helped plant a tree trail through Walton Cemetery.
