CHILDREN and their parents are being invited to help plan a revamp for a community park.
Quinta Park in the West Heath part of Congleton is surrounded by housing, and is earmarked for a major facelift.
Play equipment is due to be provided for the children who live locally, and the play area will be resurfaced.
Quinta Park is situated off Ullswater Road, and its run-down condition has prompted Congleton Borough Council to look at refurbishing the site.
As well as play equipment the area could boast football posts and a basketball net.
The council is keen to hear the public's views on its plans for the park, and has organised a public meeting.
Quinta Primary School, which is situated opposite the park, is hosting the meeting at 7pm on Monday, January 20.
The meeting will give local residents, children and their parents the chance to express their views on the outline plans for the revamp, which will be on display.
If everything goes to plan the new play equipment could be installed this summer.
Borough landscape services manager Philip van Schijndel said Quinta Park was one of the borough's play areas in greatest need of improvement.
"There are a lot of children in the area, and the proposed play equipment will meet the needs of a wide age range," he said.
The public meeting is aimed at finding out what type of equipment local children and residents feel should be provided.
