l PLANNERS are applying to build a residential development on land between Bradlegh Road and Catherine Way, Newton. No details are available so far. The council's case officer is Scott Bracken on 01744 456162.

l SIX bungalows and space for parking will be built on land between 103 and 113, Oak Avenue, Newton, if permission is granted by St Helens Council.

l PERMISSION to build two semi-detached houses on land next to 22 Old Whint Road, Haydock is being sought from St Helens planning department.

l AN outline application for residential development at the former 66 to 110 Catherine Way, Newton, is being sought from St Helens planning department.

Objections to any of the above applications must be sent to Town Planning, Town Hall, St Helens WA10 1HP.
