CREWE FC booked a President's Cup semi-final date with a convincing 2-0 victory over Gamesley.
Danny Massey's first-half double proved enough to see off their MCL Division Two opponents and set up a clash with Witton Albion Reserves.
It was good stuff from Ian O'Reilly's boys who got off to a flier on five minutes.
Danny Athorn played in Martin Cauldwell who hit the perfect cross for Massey to slot home from close range.
Their dominance continued throughout the first half and Lee Westwood and Liam O'Reilly combined to present Massey with his second, tucked away on 35 minutes.
Chances continued to flow after the break but Crewe failed to add to their tally.
Although delighted, the boss would swap it all to avoid relegation.
"The clean sheet was pleasing and the back five really deserved it," he said.
"We let ourselves down a bit in the second half after playing some really good stuff in the first.
"But we still dominated and now we've got Witton in the semis.
"It's nice to have a good cup run but I'd swap it all to stay up, that's the priority.
"I'd swap everything we've won because that's how much staying in this league means to me."
Unbeaten in 2005, Crewe FC need their run to continue to climb out of Division One's bottom two.
"If we win seven out of our last 12, I think we'll be alright," added O'Reilly.
"I think we're capable of that.
"The lads have just got to keep on doing what they're doing and keep winning."
Before they start, they travel to Nantwich Town's Jackson Avenue for the Crewe Cup semi-final, this Saturday.
"It's nice to play them and we want to keep our unbeaten run going," he continued.
"We've got a few unavailable so we'll have to see."
